Many new things come with the inauguration of a new governor, and the inauguration of Illinois' new governor, Bruce Rauner, was no exception.
Inauguration events included stops by the Governor and First Lady across the state, dinners with Illinois dignitaries, an expo of Illinois companies, and a star-studded inauguration concert.
Partnership for a Connected Illinois was pleased to participate in the Illinois is Back Expo on Sunday and Monday. PCI staff distributed copies of our newly released Five-Year Report: Broadband Everywhere for Jobs and Prosperity and did live demonstrations of our Find & Request Broadband Tools.
Visitors to our table included Governor Bruce Rauner, Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, Republican Congressmen Rodney Davis and Bob Dold, PCI Board Member Bruce Montgomery, Governor's Office Staff, Prairie Capital
Convention Center Staff, and many more. Honest Abe also stopped by for a photo with Heidi and Jay.
Later in the afternoon, PCI staffers Heidi, Jay, and Lacey attended the Open House with the Governor and First Lady at the Old State Capitol. Lt. Governor Sanguinetti also posed for pictures.
