Illinois-based Highlights, Initiatives at Next Week's Broadband Communities Economic Development Conference

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois, Nov. 1, 2013 -- Illinois will be well-represented at the Broadband Communities Regional Economic Development conference series next week in Tinley Park. See below for Illinois-specific program highlights! 

  • Phil Halstead, new Executive Director at Partnership for a Connected Illinois, will attend the conference all three days. Be sure to say hello and welcome Phil to Illinois! Read yesterday's press release about Phil here.

  • Although the conference is in Chicagoland, sessions will be relevant to both rural and urban broadband enthusiasts. Sessions on telemedicine, precision agriculture, financing networks and more will feature rural perspectives. 
  • Partnership for a Connected Illinois representatives are scheduled to present on recent broadband developments, initiatives and efforts throughout the state on Wednesdayafternoon in the exhibit hall. Please stop by our booth to pick up the latest maps, handouts and to speak with our staff.
