Illinois Broadband Innovation Fund Recipients To Be Announced Via Statewide Webinar

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois- October 1, 2012 -- The wait is almost over for broadband enthusiasts across the state. Broadband Illinois will announce the recipients of $500,000 in funding for the Illinois Broadband Innovation Fund on a statewide webinar tomorrow, Tuesday, October 2. 

The 2 p.m. webinar is open for all to attend, and will be especially relevant for the more than 100 private, public and nonprofit organizations that submitted proposals to the inaugural internet adoption and usage award program. 

Broadband Illinois staff and eTeam coordinators will be online to answer questions and assist with next steps for the organizations that were chosen for funding and will help build connections for those who were not selected in this round.
