SPRINGFIELD, Illinois, September 14, 2012 – Broadband enthusiasts across the state have until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18 to submit proposals to the Illinois Broadband Innovation Fund.
The fund prompts Illinois innovators to propose ways to improve quality of life through broadband usage, and up to $500,000 will be awarded to the most promising internet adoption and usage projects.

As part of our three-fold mission, we’ve submitted five rounds of broadband data and maps to the U.S. Department of Commerce, and our 10 regional eTeams have worked to address broadband access issues while promoting high-speed internet builds.
