The files below are shapefiles that shows the maximum available download speed tier at any location within the state of Illinois. Data is in WGS84 Coordinate System. This analysis does not take into account cellular or satellite providers.

Shapefiles
The files below are zipped files that contains the wireline providers, wireless providers and Community Anchor Institution (CAI) shapefiles. The wireline and wireless provider shapefiles contains speed, footprint, and technology information about broadband service providers.  The CAI shapefile lists the address, location, and available broadband information about each CAI. Each file displays it's current date, and all are in the WGS84 format.

Round 6 Competition With Cellular or Satellite (95Mb)
This shapefile depicts the number of broadband service providers offering services to all or parts of each US 2010 Census Block. The Census Blocks were dissolved by the number of providers servicing each block. Prices, service,quality, and speeds offered are not represented.

Round 6 Competition No Cellular or Satellite (79Mb)
This shapefile depicts the number of broadband service providers offering services to all or parts of each US 2010 Census Block. The Census Blocks were dissolved by the number of providers servicing each block. Prices, service,quality, and speeds offered are not represented. This shapefile excludes satellite and cellular providers.

Round 5 (Data is current as of December 30, 2011, and is GCS_North_American_1983.)

Round 5 Competition With Cellular or Satellite (95Mb)
This shapefile depicts the number of broadband service providers offering services to all or parts of each US 2010 Census Block. The Census Blocks were dissolved by the number of providers servicing each block. Prices, service,quality, and speeds offered are not represented.
