Partnering for Illinois’ Economic Future: 17th Congressional District Economic Summit
The 17th Congressional District Economic Summit, which will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013. A continuation of Congresswoman Cheri Bustos’ work with the University of Illinois, this summit will build off of the three recent regional economic discussions, which brought together community leaders from a range of sectors and industries to discuss innovative strategies to reduce unemployment and create jobs.
Feedback from the regional discussions combined with input from the public was recently compiled into a summary document, which you’ll find attached. This document highlights the many challenges and opportunities that were discussed.
As an important member of our community, we wanted to provide you with an early opportunity to RSVP for the Economic Summit. This event will be open to the public and press and seating is limited.
