Chicago Broadband Opportunity Event and Webinar

In the past six months, there has been a multitude of ideas and investments in high speed Internet access and adoption efforts that has led up to Mayor Rahm Emanuel's announcement of the Chicago Broadband Challenge. The Partnership for a Connected Illinois is inviting Chicago area stakeholders to an interactive partnership-building town meeting and webinar to hear the perspective of those considering replying to the "Request for Information" for the City of Chicago's Broadband Challenge.

The following stakeholders, among others, are invited to attend this public meeting:  (1) providers of broadband services in Chicago, (2) the 45 applicants for the Illinois Broadband Innovation Fund in Chicago, (3) communities in the Chicago area who submitted for the Governor's Gigabit Communities Challenge, (4) computer training centers who have been funded or applied for funding from DCEO's Eliminate the Digital Divide program.  By bringing these diverse voices together, we hope to facilitate collaborative efforts that will be able to respond to the Mayor's RFI.
