“The aim of the CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) Class—the premier program of the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship—is to enable high school students in rural Illinois to become self-reliant, enterprising individuals who will start successful businesses and contribute to the sustained economic development of their communities. In the day-to-day work of a CEO class, access to broadband is essential,” said Craig Lindvahl, Executive Director of the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship. “The grant will allow the Institute to seed two CEO programs in the autumn of 2013, providing communities that might otherwise not be able to afford the help of the Institute to launch strong CEO programs.”
